A travel position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter to support educational settings in Washington, PA. This role involves providing clear and effective communication access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate accurate and timely interpretation between sign language and spoken English during classroom instruction and school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to ensure effective communication and full participation
- Prepare for interpreting assignments by reviewing relevant materials and terminology
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactions
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience
