Job Description

A position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter to support effective communication in educational settings. This role involves travel within the Warwick, RI area to various schools, ensuring accessibility for students who use sign language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clear and accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff.
  • Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
  • Assist during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events.
  • Collaborate with educators to support students learning and participation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards of interpretation.

Desired Qualifications:
