Make a positive impact supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter, working 1:1 with pediatric learners from Pre-K through Middle School. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with proven interpreting skills
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in educational environments
• Ability to interpret for a range of grades, including Kindergarten, Pre-K, Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to classroom and individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpreting for a student or students during the school day
• Facilitate clear and accurate communication between students, teachers, and peers, ensuring comprehension and active participation
• Support students academic, social, and emotional growth
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters
• Participate in student support meetings or educational planning as needed
