Qualifications:
- National certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation
- Professionalism, reliability, and a team-focused attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students and staff in classroom and school-related environments
- Facilitate communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their peers, instructors, and staff members
- Support instruction by accurately conveying spoken and signed information
- Adapt to varied educational activities including lectures, small groups, assemblies, and extracurricular events
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and parents to ensure student needs are met
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in educational settings
Position Details:
- Contract position near Reno, NV, serving K-12 students
- 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday
