Youll work closely with a kindergarten student, providing essential communication access in a dynamic school environment from now through May 28, 2026.

Ideal candidates have strong proficiency in sign language interpretation within a school setting and a passion for facilitating inclusion. Experience working 1:1 with young learners will set you up for success.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid and current EIPA score required
• Previous experience as a sign language interpreter, particularly in school settings
• Familiarity with kindergarten curriculum and the unique needs of early childhood learners
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, teachers, and staff
• Commitment to promoting accessible communication and supporting student engagement

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 sign language interpreting services for a kindergarten student throughout the school day
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to ensure instructional access
• Adapt interpreting strategies for diverse classroom activities, routines, and school events
• Maintain open communication with educators and families to support the students individual learning goals
• Uphold ethical standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
