Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the educational journey of a middle school student needing sign language interpretation. This full-time, onsite position is based near Van Buren, AR, and runs immediately through late May. As a dedicated interpreter, youll facilitate communication and inclusion in both classroom and broader school environments, ensuring your student receives the resources they need to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Active state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required; bilingual fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Additional experience or credentials in Manually Coded Sign Language (MSL) considered a plus.
• Commitment to a full-time schedule, with anticipated hours totaling 37.5 weekly.
• Previous experience in an educational setting or working 1:1 with students is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent, high-quality interpreting services for a middle school student in class and during school-related activities.
• Adapt to the student's communication needs to foster an inclusive, accessible learning environment.
• Work in collaboration with school staff, educators, and support personnel to meet the students educational goals.
• Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct at all times.
• Participate fully in the daily educational routine, ensuring a reliable presence and unwavering support throughout the school day.

This is an onsite role, with preference given to candidates able to be present in person.
