Work Hours: Approx. 32.5 hours per week or part-time (15 hours per week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, onsite)

Job Description:
An excellent opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter supporting a middle school student in Toccoa, Georgia. This role is for the upcoming school year and offers both full-time and part-time options. The interpreter will work 1:1 with a 6th or 7th grade student who is deaf, providing consistent communication support throughout the school day. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional passionate about ensuring accessibility and student success.

Qualifications:

• Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 required
• Georgia interpreter certification may be required
• Experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide consistent, accurate interpretation in a classroom setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for a middle school student
• Support communication access across academic and school-related activities
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all student interactions
• Adapt to the students communication needs to ensure full participation
