A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Educational Sign Language Interpreter to support a school environment in Texico, NM. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 21, 2026, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of preschool to middle school students through expert ASL interpretation.

This role involves interpreting one-on-one with a preschool student and providing sign language exposure to students from 1st through 8th grades. The schedule is 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, allowing for a consistent and structured workweek.

Key qualifications include:

• Possession of a current SLI license for New Mexico
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred

Responsibilities include:

• Providing accurate and effective ASL interpretation tailored to the needs of individual students
• Facilitating communication between students, teachers, and others in the educational setting
• Supporting the development of language skills and accessibility for students using sign language
