A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth and onsite services at a school setting in Oxnard, CA. This role supports a high school student on a one-to-one basis, providing essential communication access during specified class periods throughout the week.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday:
- Period 2: 10:18 AM 11:48 AM
- Period 3: 12:29 PM 1:59 PM
- Friday (schedule may vary):
- Period 2: 10:36 AM 11:50 AM
- Period 3: 12:31 PM 1:45 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation services either onsite or virtually.
- Facilitate effective communication between the student and school staff to support educational engagement.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism within the educational environment.
- Collaborate with educators to ensure accessibility during instructional periods.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification.
- Successful completion of the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a score of 4.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated professional experience working in school settings as a sign language interpreter.
