Providing support as a Sign Language Interpreter through telehealth services for a school in East Tawas, MI, this role involves working closely with one student requiring specialized communication assistance. The position is part-time, offering approximately one hour of service per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering accurate and effective American Sign Language interpretation during student meetings and related sessions
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure clear communication with the student
• Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed to support the students needs

Qualifications:

• Valid LARA license as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Proficient in American Sign Language with experience in educational settings
• Ability to provide telehealth interpretation services effectively
• Understanding of IEP processes and student support requirements
• Flexibility to work one hour per week, adapting to scheduled meeting times

Location: East Tawas, Michigan

This contract role requires attention to confidentiality and compliance with background checks as relevant to school services. Mileage reimbursement is considered for itinerant positions.
