What Youll Need:

  • Active Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III or above
  • EIPA score of 3.5+ with a passing written test, or equivalent as determined by the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Previous school-based or educational interpreting experience preferred
  • Commitment to working full-time (37.5 hours/week) through the end of the school year

  • Provide sign language interpretation services in a K-12 school setting
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
  • Support educational access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborate effectively with school teams and families
