Bring your expertise in sign language interpretation to make a direct impact in education for the 26/27 school year! Work onsite, supporting K-12 students in a collaborative, inclusive environment. This contract-based opportunity is designed for professionals ready to contribute to student success and partner closely with educators.
What you bring:
- Current EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
- Valid state licensure/certification for Sign Language Interpreters
- Experience working with students in the K-12 setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
- Willingness to work onsite throughout the school year
Responsibilities include:
- Providing sign language interpretation for classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings
- Facilitating communication between students, staff, and families
- Collaborating with teachers, special education teams, and administration
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to established protocols
- Providing support to ensure equal access to curriculum and school experiences
