This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide essential communication support within a school setting. Based in Sparks, NV, this role involves travel, allowing you to bring your expertise to multiple educational environments and make a meaningful difference for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear and effective communication between Deaf or Hard of Hearing students and their teachers, peers, and staff
• Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa to support classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and school functions
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion in learning environments
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality during all interactions
• Adapt to various school settings while traveling within the designated area

Qualifications:

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills
• Experience working in educational settings preferred
• Ability to travel as required to multiple school locations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
