This travel assignment allows SLI/ASL Interpreters to not only expand their clinical repertoire, but also gain exposure to new instructional approaches and leadership styles in a dynamic school setting. Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter (educational settings preferred)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Open to both certified and non-certified candidates
  • Ability to adapt communication style for younger learners
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ASL interpretation for one assigned student (either kindergarten or third grade)
  • Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to enhance learning accessibility
  • Support students participation and engagement in classroom activities
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions
  • Participate in district training and school-specific onboarding
