Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other sign systems as required
- Certification such as NIC, EIPA, or state licensure (preferred)
- Experience interpreting in educational settings is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new procedures and policies
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpreting services for students and staff in classroom and school settings
- Collaborate with educators and support teams to facilitate full participation for deaf/hard-of-hearing students
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Ensure accurate, confidential, and culturally competent interpretation at all times
