Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license or CA CTC certification required
- Previous experience in educational settings preferred
- Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Ability to interpret for a range of ages, needs, and educational subjects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff in classroom and school activities
- Adapt interpreting approaches for various grade levels and student needs
- Support students academic, social, and emotional growth by ensuring access to instruction and activities
- Collaborate effectively with educators and service providers to address individual student plans
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards at all times
