As a Sign Language Interpreter, youll facilitate learning and engagement for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, collaborating with teachers and staff to create an inclusive school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid EIPA 3.5 or higher credential in Georgia
• Meet GAPSC certification requirements
• Proficient in American Sign Language and interpreting within educational settings
• Experience working in schools with a variety of age groups, especially K-12
• Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student success

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, meetings, and school activities for K-12 students
• Work closely with educators and support staff to ensure accurate and effective communication
• Adapt interpreting techniques to accommodate various student needs and educational levels
• Support students both academically and socially within the classroom setting
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all ethical and professional standards

Role Details:

• Full-time contract opportunity
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
