Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in schools (preferred)
Ability to interpret across a range of grade levels and subject areas
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
RID/NAD certification or EIPA rating meeting state requirements (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor

Key Responsibilities:
Provide real-time sign language interpretation for students during instructional and non-instructional times
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers
Adapt interpreting style to meet individual student needs and classroom content
Assist with the preparation of classroom materials as needed
Maintain accurate records and support compliance with IEP/504 plans
Collaborate with special education staff and participate in relevant meetings
