Desired Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 3.5 or above (candidates with a lower score may be considered upon discussion)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in school or educational settings
  • Knowledge of working with students in adaptive or special education classrooms
  • Professional certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
  • Comfortable providing onsite services (no virtual option, per parent request)
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with classroom staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation in an onsite environment for a high school student in all classroom activities
  • Adapt communication strategies to meet the needs of the student, including those related to mobility and classroom participation
