Desired Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.5 or above (candidates with a lower score may be considered upon discussion)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in school or educational settings
- Knowledge of working with students in adaptive or special education classrooms
- Professional certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Comfortable providing onsite services (no virtual option, per parent request)
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with classroom staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation in an onsite environment for a high school student in all classroom activities
- Adapt communication strategies to meet the needs of the student, including those related to mobility and classroom participation
- Coordinate with special education teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent, comprehensive support
