Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide professional communication support in educational settings. This travel position involves working within schools located in Richmond Hill, GA, ensuring effective communication between Deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school events
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication to support student learning and inclusion
- Collaborate with educational staff to adapt interpreting techniques to specific classroom environments
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions
Qualifications:
- Proficient in American Sign Language with strong interpreting skills
- Experience working as an interpreter in school settings preferred
