Make an impact in educational settings by facilitating communication and inclusion for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. A contract opportunity is available for experienced Sign Language Interpreters for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, working onsite and supporting a dedicated caseload. This role is based near Raeford, NC, and offers a full-time schedule from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027.

What Were Seeking:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting skills in educational environments
- Active license to practice as a Sign Language Interpreter in North Carolina
- Previous experience in K-12 settings preferred
- Committed to onsite work throughout the school year
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to clearly interpret lessons, assignments, and facilitate classroom communication
What Youll Do:
- Interpret spoken language into ASL (and vice versa) for students and school staff
- Support a consistent student caseload of approximately 1.1
- Collaborate closely with classroom educators to adapt lesson communication
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies and ethical standards
- Assist in IEP meetings or related student support sessions as needed
- Exhibit flexibility and responsiveness to individual student needs
