A contract opportunity is available for experienced Sign Language Interpreters for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, working onsite and supporting a dedicated caseload. This role is based near Raeford, NC, and offers a full-time schedule from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027.

What Were Seeking:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting skills in educational environments
• Active license to practice as a Sign Language Interpreter in North Carolina
• Previous experience in K-12 settings preferred
• Committed to onsite work throughout the school year
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to clearly interpret lessons, assignments, and facilitate classroom communication

What Youll Do:

• Interpret spoken language into ASL (and vice versa) for students and school staff
• Support a consistent student caseload of approximately 1.1
• Collaborate closely with classroom educators to adapt lesson communication
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies and ethical standards
• Assist in IEP meetings or related student support sessions as needed
• Exhibit flexibility and responsiveness to individual student needs
