What Youll Bring:

• Current Washington Sign Language Interpreter certification
• Experience in educational settings, ideally with K-12 age groups
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Adaptability and collaborative mindset to work alongside teachers and support staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide cultural sensitivity within a diverse school community

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom lessons, school events, and one-on-one interactions for deaf or hard-of-hearing students
• Support communication in both academic and extracurricular settings
• Prepare and adapt materials as needed to ensure full participation
• Collaborate effectively with educators and administrators
• Serve as a language and cultural liaison when needed
• Maintain accurate records of services provided
