From September 2nd through June 17th, youll have the chance to support and empower students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, helping them access classroom content, participate in school activities, and thrive alongside their peers.
This assignment offers a stable, MondayFriday schedule for a total of 32.5 hours per week at a single school site. Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid Washington State Sign Language Interpreter certification required
- Prior experience in educational interpreting or working with K-12 students is ideal
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to work closely with diverse students and staff
- Flexibility, professionalism, and a student-centered mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing during classroom instruction and school activities
- Work closely with educators, support staff, and families to foster inclusion and ensure accessible learning experiences
- Accurately convey instructional content and facilitate clear communication in a variety of school settings
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school district policies
