An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support communication needs within a school setting. This travel position is based in Portsmouth, NH, and requires the ability to facilitate effective communication between hearing-impaired students, staff, and peers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure accessible learning environments.
- Attend meetings and extracurricular events as needed to provide interpreting services.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language with demonstrated interpreting experience in educational settings.
