Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (state and/or national)
- Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to new school environments
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and school staff
- Interpret classroom lessons, meetings, events, and extracurricular activities
- Work as part of the educational team to support student learning and inclusion
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting scenarios
