Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in school settings or with children/adolescents
• Appropriate interpreting credentials or certification as required by state guidelines
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa for students, staff, and faculty during classroom instruction, meetings, and other school-related activities
• Support student participation and engagement by accurately conveying educational content and classroom discussions
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure effective communication and adaptive support for students
• Maintain clear and ethical boundaries in all interpreting assignments
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
