Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLI license for the state of Kansas
  • EIPA Score as required by state regulations
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience in school or educational settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism and adaptability to diverse learning environments
  • Ability to provide accurate, clear, and timely interpretation

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sign language interpretation in classrooms and throughout daily school routines
  • Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
  • Support two elementary students, adapting style and approach as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to school policies regarding student information
  • Participate in team meetings and work collaboratively with educational staff and support services
  • Monitor and encourage student progress, adjusting strategies to foster academic success
  • Provide feedback and periodic updates to school staff as directed

Enjoy consistent weekly hours (37.5 per week) and a supportive, student-centered atmosphere. Assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027.
