Bring your expertise in sign language interpretation to support students for the upcoming school year! Multiple contract opportunities are available, allowing you to contribute to educational access at a variety of campuses. Assignments begin August 3, 2026, and run through May 28, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

You will be placed at one of several campuses, each dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments: May River High School, Bluffton Middle School, Robert Smalls Leadership Academy (6th grade), or Battery Creek High School. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact while working alongside talented educators and engaged students.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language and other applicable forms of communication for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
• Valid sign language interpreter credentials, with a minimum 3.5 EIPA required
• Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
• Ability to adapt and work collaboratively within diverse educational teams
• Professionalism, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for students in classroom and school activities
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers
• Support student engagement and participation in all aspects of the educational experience
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards of interpreting
