Make a meaningful impact in education by using your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter in a supportive school setting. Multiple full-time contract roles are available for the 2026-2027 school year, working with students in various locations in the region. This position involves partnering with staff to provide communication access, promote inclusivity, and help students thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational environments
• Minimum score of 3.5 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) required
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, students, and families
• Strong commitment to facilitating communication in diverse classroom settings
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Accurately convey spoken information into American Sign Language (ASL) or other sign systems, and vice versa
• Support direct communication between students and school personnel throughout the school day
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and district policies
• Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and planning as needed

Assignment Details:

• Four positions available, with placements at high schools and a K-8 academy in Bluffton or Beaufort
• 37.5 hours per week, standard school days from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027
