Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Sign Language Interpreter Certification (SLI CERT) for California is required
• Proven experience providing interpreting services in educational settings preferred
• Strong command of American Sign Language (ASL) and English
• Ability to adapt communication style to diverse learning needs
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and peers using American Sign Language
• Interpret classroom lessons, school events, and meetings in real-time
• Collaborate with teachers and school support staff to ensure effective inclusion
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards of the interpreting profession
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and professional development
