An onsite Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) position is available within a school setting in New Oxford, PA, serving the Littlestown School District. This contract role supports effective communication for students at Alloway Creek Elementary from the start date through the end of the school year in 2026.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality sign language interpreting services during school hours
- Facilitating clear communication between students, teachers, and staff who use American Sign Language (ASL)
- Adhering to the school districts policies and guidelines for interpreters
- Supporting an inclusive educational environment for all students
Required qualifications and experience:
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter credentials
- An EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher
- Prior experience working in educational settings preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite from 9:00 AM to 3:10 PM, totaling 35 hours per week
