Key Qualifications:

  • Active Alabama SLI license required
  • EIPA certification strongly preferred
  • Educational interpreting experience preferred
  • Previous school-based or pediatric interpreting experience is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and professional collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and accessible classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation services between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and staff throughout the school day
  • Facilitate effective communication in classroom instruction, activities, and meetings
  • Collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to support students academic and social success
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, accessible learning atmosphere
