This contract role is perfect for someone who excels in individualized settings, working closely with students who benefit from tailored sign language interpretation. With a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, youll become a valued member of the school community, enhancing classroom access and supporting educational success.

What Youll Need to Succeed:

  • A minimum EIPA score of 4.0
  • Completion of CHSPE or NCLB requirementseither 48 units of higher education study, an AA degree, or a Certificate for the RID
  • Alternatively, TEC unit level 4 ACCI certification accepted
  • Prior experience working with students in an academic setting is strongly preferred
  • Strong commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and student advocacy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one sign language interpreting to students during classroom instruction and activities
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between students, teachers, and peers
  • Support the educational goals of assigned students in various academic settings
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all school and agency guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
