This role is perfect for skilled Sign Language Interpreters seeking dynamic travel opportunities within school settings. The position involves providing high-quality interpretation services to support students and staff in educational environments, ensuring effective communication and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate accurate and clear sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff in school settings
- Assist in creating an inclusive learning environment by supporting communication access
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to meet the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Adapt to diverse classroom environments and schedules while maintaining professional standards
- Travel to various school locations within the assigned region as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills
- Previous experience serving in educational settings preferred
- Ability to travel regularly to different schools in the Missoula, MT area and surrounding locations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills
- Relevant certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter is highly desirable
