A skilled Sign Language Interpreter is needed for schools in Metairie, LA, offering a travel assignment that provides exposure to diverse educational environments. This role requires an individual fluent in sign language, capable of facilitating communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff, ensuring full access to the curriculum and school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken communication into sign language and vice versa during classroom instruction and school events.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote an inclusive learning atmosphere.
