Embark on a meaningful opportunity supporting elementary education as a Sign Language Interpreter for the 20262027 school year. This full-time, contract position is tailored for professionals eager to make a positive, lasting impact by working one-on-one with a third-grade student in a dynamic, school-based setting.

Youll work onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm, ensuring continuous support during the academic day. Your expertise will facilitate a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, helping this young learner thrive both academically and socially.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter with a minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or above.
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly at the elementary level, is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with students and staff.
• Flexibility, patience, and adaptability in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive 1:1 sign language interpretation services for a third-grade student throughout the school day.
• Support clear communication between the student, teachers, and peers, ensuring full participation in classroom activities.
• Adapt interpreting strategies to meet the unique needs of the student.
• Collaborate with educators to facilitate an inclusive academic experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards within the educational system.
