Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or credentialing in sign language interpretation (state or national)
  • Prior experience interpreting for students in educational settings strongly preferred
  • Proficient with American Sign Language and other communication modalities as needed
  • Strong collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately interpret spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) for students and staff
  • Support instructional activities and individual learning plans
  • Participate in meetings, IEP reviews, and planning sessions as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
