Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter in a vibrant educational setting near Manchester Center, VT. This full-time position runs from now through mid-June and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, including a Kindergartener and a 3rd grader. With hours from 8:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, youll be based at a single school location, allowing you to build strong, supportive relationships and truly become part of the school community.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, particularly in school settings, is preferred
- Open to candidates who are not yet certified
- Enthusiasm for working with children in early elementary grades
- Adaptability and strong communication skills
What Youll Do:
- Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation for assigned students
- Facilitate clear communication between students, educators, and peers
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote student engagement and success
- Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students can thrive
- Participate in required training and follow school-specific onboarding protocols
