What were looking for:

  • Alabama SLI licenserequired
  • EIPA certification and educational interpreting experience preferred
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and provide professional support within dynamic classrooms

Key responsibilities:

  • Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa to facilitate communication for students and staff
  • Support students learning and participation in instruction, activities, and school events
  • Collaborate with teachers, IEP teams, and related services providers to deliver consistent interpreting services
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality as required by educational standards
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
