Step into an impactful position supporting students and educational teams as a Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract role spans from August 6, 2026, to May 26, 2027, with the opportunity to work onsite initially, and potential consideration for virtual work closer to the start of the school year. With a 37.5-hour workweek, youll collaborate with a dedicated group of professionals, serving a diverse student caseload.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language, with strong interpreting skills for educational settings
- Valid certification and credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
- Minimum score of 3.5 on the EIPA, as well as completion of the EIPA Written portion
- Professional experience in K-12 school environments strongly preferred
- Collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and adaptability to dynamic school priorities
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and supportive sign language interpretation for students, staff, and stakeholders during classroom instruction and school activities
- Partner closely with teachers and educational teams to ensure accessibility and student engagement
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet individual student needs and learning environments
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with ethical interpreting standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings as required
