An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students and staff within a school setting in Lexington, KY. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with the educational community, providing essential interpretation services to foster communication and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between hearing-impaired students, educators, and peers by interpreting spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
- Support classroom learning by accompanying students to various school activities, ensuring clear understanding and participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to tailor communication strategies that meet individual student needs.
