Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a valid SLI (Sign Language Interpreter) license for Kansas
  • Demonstrate proficiency with a current EIPA score as required
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged students is strongly preferred
  • Ability to quickly build positive rapport and communication bridges within diverse school communities
  • Reliable, organized, and poised in classroom and small-group settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) for students during classroom activities, instruction, and school events
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate accessible educational experiences
  • Adapt interpretation methods to suit student needs and classroom requirements
  • Maintain strict professional confidentiality
