Bring your expertise in sign language interpretation to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students near beautiful Lake Worth, FL. In this role, you'll work 37.5 hours per week over five days, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to create the best possible learning experiences. You'll interpret classroom lessons, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and individualized education program (IEP) meetings, ensuring access for your students in varied settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) license is required
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience in K-12 educational settings is highly valued
• Familiarity with interpreting in both one-on-one and group settings
• Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpreting services for students across standard curriculum and school activities
• Foster clear and effective communication between students, staff, and families
• Adapt interpretations for various age groups and learning needs, from kindergarten through high school
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and IEP discussions as necessary
