A contract opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter serving a middle school setting in Lake Charles, LA. This role supports effective communication for students requiring sign language services during the school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear and accurate sign language interpretation for middle school students in the educational environment
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion in classroom activities
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications:

• EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 4.0 or higher is required
• Proficient in sign language interpretation, with experience in educational settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, educators, and support personnel

Hours and Compensation:

• Work schedule from 7:35 a.m. to 9:35 a.m.
• Pay rate between $35 and $40 per hour
