Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter in a vibrant school community near Kent, WA. This contract role spans the academic year, from early September through mid-June, providing consistent, engaging work at one campus for 32.5 hours per week. Youll play a key role in enhancing communication access for K-12 students, making a real impact on their day-to-day classroom experiences.

Preferred candidates will demonstrate:

• Valid Washington Sign Language Interpreter certification
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, ideally with K-12 students
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working alongside educators, staff, and students
• Flexibility and professional poise in adapting to a variety of learning styles and communication needs

Your contributions will include:

• Offering clear, accurate interpretation for classroom lessons and school activities
• Supporting student learning by using appropriate techniques for different age groups and abilities
• Collaborating with teachers and school teams to ensure seamless educational access
• Adhering to privacy and ethical standards in all interactions
• Participating in virtual interviews as part of a welcoming hiring process
