A contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter located in Kent, WA, supporting middle school students at Illahee Middle School. This onsite role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, with 6.5 paid hours and a 7.0-hour scheduled day, running from ASAP through June 16, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and accurate sign language interpreting services to middle school students.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff to support an inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to enhance student understanding and participation.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Washington State license as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (WA TVI).
- EIPA certification with a minimum score of 3.5 or higher.
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students and school personnel.
