A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in educational environments. This role is based in Hollywood, FL, and involves travel to various schools, providing an engaging and varied professional experience for candidates passionate about facilitating communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and staff in classroom settings.
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa during lessons, meetings, and school events.
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to support students educational and social development.
- Adapt interpreting techniques to suit differing ages, subject matter, and settings within schools.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of sign language interpreting.
