Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting elementary students in a vibrant school environment near Hickman, NE. With an immediate start and assignment continuing through May 2027, youll play a crucial role in facilitating communication and access for young learners. This onsite position runs full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid EIPA score of 3.0 or above required
  • Proven experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Ability to adapt interpreting style to support elementary-aged students
  • Professionalism, reliability, and strong collaboration skills
  • Commitment to providing services solely in-person (no remote work available)

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver accurate and effective interpretation for students, staff, and families within the elementary school setting
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education professionals, and support staff to ensure optimal student access to instruction and activities
