Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Full-time availability for consistent, onsite presence
• Experience in a school-based interpreting environment highly preferred
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Documentation of credentials and EIPA score is required
• Additional licensure or certifications may be necessary pending confirmation
• Reliable transportation for punctual attendance

Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into ASL for students, staff, and parents as needed
• Adapt communication to match student comprehension levels and classroom content
• Support engagement and participation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
• Collaborate closely with teachers and educational staff to promote inclusive practices
• Facilitate conversations and clarify information between students and their peers
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional conduct in all interactions
• Fulfill any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisory staff
