Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time (37.5 hours per week) role, potentially flexible to include part-time options, will allow you to work closely within a dedicated team focused on student communication success. Youll play a key role throughout the academic year starting August 3rd, 2026, with responsibilities extending through May 21st, 2027, and possibly include pre/post planning days.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and active Georgia Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters.
  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
  • Professional experience providing sign language interpretation, preferably in a school or educational environment.
  • Willingness to complete daily documentation logs according to established guidelines.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sign language interpretation services for students in various classroom or educational settings.
  • Collaborate with school staff and team members to support individualized student communication needs.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs to document services provided.
  • Engage in discussions during the interview process regarding age group preferences and experience to ensure a placement best suited to your skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and student assignments as enrollment data is finalized.
