Key Qualifications:

  • Current Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters
  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required)
  • Experience in K-12 settings or comfort working in school environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to complete daily documentation and service logs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clear communication between students who are Deaf/hard-of-hearing and educational staff
  • Deliver high-quality interpretation services onsite throughout the school day
  • Collaborate with a team to determine placements based on your age group preference and experience
  • Maintain detailed daily logs to document your interpreting services, adhering to district protocols
  • Adapt to changing caseloads and be prepared to support various grade levels as necessary
  • Participate in any pre or post-planning days as required
