This role involves travel between schools, providing essential communication services that facilitate effective learning and inclusion for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Responsibilities include:
- Interpreting spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa in classroom and school-related settings
- Ensuring accurate and clear communication to bridge communication gaps for students, teachers, and staff
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to enhance the learning environment and accessibility
- Adhering to professional and ethical standards for sign language interpretation
